You’ve been chosen
What is chosen?
Chosen means having been selected as the best or most appropriate and it also means being selected by a higher power, like God, for a specific purpose, often implying a special destiny or calling to fulfill a greater mission in life, signifying a sense of divine favor and responsibility to live according to higher standards; it's often associated with the idea of being set apart or "elect" for a greater good. And that’s what we’re all about! We believe Jesus has the ability to change any area of your life, and our desire is for you to experience His transformative power in a real way.
At Chosen, you’ll find a young church community where you can connect with other people, grow in your relationship with Jesus, and discover a life full of potential and promise. Our church is made up of people from different walks of life with a diverse range of experiences, but we all share one common desire: to experience the transformative power of Jesus in our lives!
We’re committed to building authentic community and cultivating a real-world faith that produces meaningful impact in our lives, our communities, our city, and our world.

-
Jesus changed everything by establishing the New Covenant in His blood. Because of his sacrifice, we are forgiven, united with God, and have the freedom to approach him with boldness as His children.
“This is My blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
(Matthew 26:28)
“By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete…”
(Hebrews 8:13)
“In Him and through faith in Him we may enter God’s presence with boldness and confidence.”
(Ephesians 3:12)
“You are no longer a slave, but God’s child.”
(Galatians 4:7)
“He alone makes us adequate ministers who are focused on an entirely new covenant. Our ministry is not based on the letter of the law but through the power of the Spirit.”
(2 Corinthians 3:6)
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.”
(2 Corinthians 5:17)
“I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them.”
(Ezekiel 11:19)
-
The Presence of God is everything to us. It has always been a mark of the people of God. As a New Covenant people, we are powered by the indwelling presence of God through Holy Spirit. We are also responsible for hosting His presence both individually and corporately as we join in what God is doing in our lives and world.
“…Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
(Colossians 1:27)“…that you may be filled with the fullness of God.”
(Ephesians 3:19)“And I will put my Spirit in you…”
(Ezekiel 36:27)“If you walk by the Spirit you will not satisfy the desires of the flesh.”
(Galatians 5:16)“…I am in my Father, you are in me, and I am in you.”
(John 14:20)“Do you not know that your bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, “whom you have received from God?””
(1 Corinthians 6:20) -
When Jesus came, he entrusted His Kingdom to his disciples and by extension to us. His Kingdom started small but is growing to fill the earth. Our role as His Kingdom ambassadors is to carry His Kingdom into every sphere of culture and every culture of the globe.
“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed…[and] yeast…”
(Matthew 13:31-33)“I confer on you a kingdom.”
(Luke 22:29)“Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end.”
(Isaiah 9:7)“Kingdom of God is within you.”
(Luke 17:21)“The time has come…the Kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
(Mark 1:15) -
We see the church not as an organization or building but as the family of God united through the love of Jesus carrying out the purposes of God in the world. As such everyone has a part to play.
“…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses… to the ends of the earth.”
(Acts 1:8)“Now you are the body of Christ and each one of you are a part of it.”
(1 Corinthians 12:27)“You are members of God’s household.”
(Ephesians 2:19)“To each and every one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.”
(Ephesians 4:7) -
One of the marks of a healthy, vibrant church family is found in the impact they have on the world around them. We pray, “your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven,” because it is God’s desire that earth would look more like heaven. Cultural Transformation is not about control or domination, but about allowing others to encounter the love and goodness of God as his hands, feet, and heart in the world.
“For God so loved the world…”
(John 3:16)“Your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
(Matthew 6:9)“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations.”
(Matthew 28:18)“…they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.”
(Acts 4:13)“…these who have turned the world upside down”
(Acts 17:6)“…gave us the ministry of reconciliation…therefore we are Christ’s ambassadors…”
(2 Corinthians 5:18 & 20)

Why pahrump?
Pahrump, Nevada, may seem remote and uninviting, but it offers unique opportunities for ministry. In this desert town, ministry isn't about large congregations but about deeply connecting with a small, tight-knit community. The mantra "there's water in the desert" captures the essence of serving in Pahrump—just as water is rare yet life-giving in the desert, ministry here is about finding small, precious sources of hope and renewal.
In Pahrump, ministry is personal and transformative, helping those who often feel overlooked. It’s a reminder that, even in barren places, there are resources—spiritual and practical—that can nourish and change lives.
what we believe
Many churches have a statement of faith, but at Chosen Vessel Church, we uphold Core Beliefs that shape everything we teach and do, serving as the foundation of our faith and mission.
-
We believe God is singular and Triune(existing as three in one) simultaneously. There is God The Father, Yahweh, Jehovah; God The Son, Jesus The Christ; and God The Holy Spirit, The Comforter; the Holy Trinity. We further believe they are Eternal; having always been, They shall always be.
Matthew 28:19
-
God expressed himself in human form through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified for the sins of us all, was buried, rose again from the dead, and ascended to heaven.
Colossians 1:13-23 and Colossians 2:8-14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8; Matthew 22:36-40 ; John 14:1-3; Hebrews 1:1-3; Acts 10:42-43; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
-
When Jesus ascended to heaven He sent the Holy Spirit to join us, fill us, and teach us to live Christ-centered lives. When you see a believer full of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, and self-control, you know that the Holy Spirit is alive in them. In addition to that, the Holy Spirit can empower believers to witness and pray beyond their own human capabilities.
Acts 1:8; 2:4; Romans 5:5 and Romans 8; 1 Corinthians 12-14; Galatians 5:16-25; Ephesians 3:16, Ephesians 4:3-4, and Ephesians 5:18; John 14:26 and John 16:7-14
-
The Bible is the living and active Word of God, it is truth personified. It is timeless, and it’s timely. It’s so old, and yet so fresh. There’s nothing else like it. If you think the Bible is boring then we challenge you to take a closer look at it with us. We believe that God speaks through the Bible, and it’s our constant endeavor to seek to understand His message and apply it to our lives. We hold the scripture in high esteem, and give our absolute best to presenting it passionately, clearly, and relevantly.
Matthew 5:17-19; 2 Timothy 2:15 and 2 Timothy 3:14-17; Hebrew 4:12; 2 Peter 1:16-21 and 2 Peter 3:14-18; Psalm 19:7-11 and Psalm 119:9-16; Joshua 1:7-8; Acts 17:11
-
When Jesus walked the earth He made a very simple invitation, “Come follow me.” Today he makes the same invitation. The bad news is that because of our sin we are all in need of a savior. The great news is the work of Salvation was done when Jesus was crucified, buried, and rose from the dead. For those who accept it, His finished work on the cross saves us from eternal separation from Him. Our works don’t save us…the work is already done!
I Peter 2:24, 3:18; Romans 3:9-28, Romans 6:23, and Romans 10:9-10; John 3:16 and John 5:24; Ephesians 2:1-10; Titus 3:3-8; James 2:14-26
-
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change. It’s a public declaration of how Jesus changed your life. Being baptized shows others that you’ve decided to follow Jesus, and allows them to celebrate this decision with you
Baptism doesn’t save a person; it’s a symbol and celebration of salvation . The power that brought Jesus back to life is the same power Jesus uses to change our lives – and that’s worth getting excited about!
Acts 16:31-34
1 Peter 3:21
-
We believe the Earth and all that lives in and on it was created in six days, as established in the story of Genesis. We believe that humanity was created in HIS image and has been given dominion over the Earth: We believe we are caretakers of the planet and believe in and support the protection and proper management of her resources.
Genesis 1:1-31
-
We believe that the true Church is composed of all persons, who are regenerated by the Holy Spirit through saving faith in Jesus Christ; that they are united together in the body of Christ of which He is Lord and Head; and are commissioned for the God-given tasks of worshiping, fellowshipping, teaching, evangelizing and exercising the spiritual gifts.
We believe that the establishment and continuance of the local church is clearly taught in the New Testament Scriptures.
Acts 2:42, 47. Romans 12:5. Ephesians 1:22-23; 5:23-24. 1 Corinthians 12:12-14. 2 Corinthians 11:2, Acts 14:27; 20:17, 28-32. 1 Timothy 3:1-13. Titus 1:5-11
-
We believe in the personal, premillenial and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, of the believer to everlasting glory and the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52. Titus 2:11-13. John 14:1-6. Matthew 25:46. Revelation 20:11-15. 2 Peter 3:10
-
We believe that we are here to share the love and knowledge of Christ with all who are interested. We believe that God’s house is a house of prayer, love, compassion, and protection for all of God’s children. We believe in a common-sense approach to the scriptures and a practical and common-sense spiritual approach to our daily lives.
